"North kitchen" means three different rooms depending on who you ask. Jobs go to the wrong building because the address was copied from last time.

Portfolio to site to facility (building, floor, room). Every operational record hangs off a node in that tree.

Resolve the job address from the place Inherit location
If the job has a facility or site, the platform fills the address from that record. Nobody retypes the street.

Keep local control under a portfolio view Scope by site
Head office lists every site. Site staff work inside theirs. Field staff see only assigned work at those places.

Hold notices and files on the site Site record
Site details, documents and notices live with the site, not in a drive named after it.
Place is a structure, not a text field. A job raised against North Venue / Kitchen inherits that facility. An asset registered there stays there. The request that started the job already pointed at the site. That is why the tree exists: so the rest of the platform does not invent geography.
